Massachusetts is home to world-renowned financial institutions and universities, yet financial literacy rates across the state remain insufficient. Too many students graduate high school without a practical understanding of investing, markets, entrepreneurship, or long-term financial planning.
At the same time, more and more high school students are forming investment clubs and exploring finance. Interest in financial markets, asset management, and economic leadership is growing among youth who want real-world experience beyond the classroom.
However, a clear gap remains.
There is currently no unified statewide network connecting these student investment clubs. No central organization exists to provide shared resources, structured collaboration, leadership development, or state-level events designed specifically for student investors.
MASIC was created to fill that gap.
To meaningfully increase financial literacy for the future, we must begin with the youth. Financial confidence isn’t built after costly mistakes but is built early, through experience, mentorship, and community.
By building a coordinated network of student investment clubs across Massachusetts, MASIC:
Connects school clubs statewide
Empowers student leaders
Expands access to financial education
Hosts conferences and learning events
Creates pathways to industry exposure
Interest is growing, clubs are forming, and the opportunity is now! MASIC is building the foundation for the next generation of financially literate leaders in Massachusetts.
